Are you looking for a little extra motivation to improve your fitness and health? Do you love superheroes and comic book culture? Then I've got challenge you might really enjoy.
On August 1st, join That Superhero Life for a Hero vs Villain 100 day fitness challenge.
Here's how it works:
First you'll choose a side. You'll need to pick a favorite hero or villain that inspires you to improve your health and fitness.
Once you've chosen a character that motivates you, you'll need to set your goal. Are you striving for fat loss, muscle gain, or improved overall fitness? For example, I have chosen the Wolverine and I'm going to try to add 20 lbs of muscle to my adamantium frame. My bitter rival is the Sabretooth, and in this competition he is looking to shed body fat. We have opposite goals, but by participating in this fun challenge, we are looking to push each other to reach our goals. We also may talk a little trash during the process, but it's all for entertainment purposes (at least that's what we're saying!).
Before the start of the challenge, we will need to gather some baseline numbers which include girth measurements, body fat measurements, and total body weight. We will also be taking before pictures that we can look back upon as the fitness challenge unfolds.
We'll be doing regular check ins for measurements and progress. I would also like to have weekly blogs and/or vlogs by our core team of villains and heroes so we can follow along on this fitness journey over the 100 days.
If you don't want to be part if the core group of heroes and villains, feel free to follow along on your own. You could even start your own challenge, and have your own teams with your group of friends.
I will provide some general workouts for weight loss, mass building, and overall fitness. However, feel free to follow any workout program that you wish. I am also available for hire to create custom workouts and I will give a discount on my rates for the first 3 people to sign up here.
As many of us know, reaching our fitness goals is not just about working out, it's also about nutrition. In fact, nutrition may be the most important part. I will be sharing some basic nutritional strategies for building muscle and losing fat that are based on the principles of my Precision Nutrition certification.
At the end of the 100 days, we will take our final body measurements and photos to share with everyone involved. We will have several categories of awards and prizes which will include best muscle gain, fat loss, best overall change, best pairing, and best cosplay to name a few.
