I am completely ecstatic about the workouts Mike created for us over the past year and half. We’ve seen incredible differences from year one to year two. The functional strength that our athletes have developed is phenomenal.
On November 1, 2016, I had a total knee replacement (TKR) in my left knee. I fully believe that my very speedy recovery (the doctor said I was in the top few % for speed) was due to the training that Mike provided. I STRONGLY recommend that you get with Mike at least 4-5 months, if possible, or even 1-2 months prior to a TKR to prepare yourself for a speedy recovery. THANKS, MIKE!!!
Training with Michael Sotos has been incredibly fun, beneficial and truly helpful. We have been practicing self defense strategies each class. Michael Sotos gives us scenarios that increase our environmental awareness and safety assessment!
Superhero training is much more than just strength and conditioning, it's working to improve all aspects of your life. It's about becoming the best version of yourself and not only improving your own life, but having the ability to help others. Sure, superheros battle supervillians and protect the universe from intergalactic threats in the movies and comics, but ultimately it comes down to helping others. If we can "unleash our inner superhero" and become the best versions of ourselves, we'll have a greater ability to help those who need it.
Superhero Training includes the following:
Organizing your life to prioritize the things that are most important to you, including your physical and mental training.
Becoming stronger mentally and improving your ability to cope with stress
Building healthy eating habits that are sustainable (not crash diets)
Moving well, being agile, and having a strong body
Having the endurance to keep going when others quit
Being able to defend yourself, the ones you love, and anyone else who needs your help
Developing your own unique superpowers and special abilities
I also offer a Martial Arts Training option. It's available for individuals and works even better if you have a training partner to join you. You will learn a combination of Boxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu, and Filipino Martial Arts (knife and stick fighting). The benefits of martial arts extend well beyond the physical, including increased confidence, better self discipline, and improved brain function.
